Dr Paulina Mazurkiewicz jest adiunktem w Katedrze Językoznawstwa Romańskiego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego Jana Pawła II.
Uzyskała stopień doktora nauk humanistycznych w zakresie językoznawstwa (2012). Specjalizuje się w leksykologii, terminologii oraz metaforach konceptualnych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dyskursu prawniczego, medycznego, dziennikarskiego i politycznego, w tym badań nad retoryką Emmanuela Macrona. Jest autorką monografii poświęconej terminologii rodzinnej oraz licznych publikacji dotyczących języka prawa francuskiego i polskiego, a także dyskursu medialnego na temat pandemii Covid-19.
Dr Mazurkiewicz jest członkinią grupy badawczej Modena Lexi-Term (Włochy) oraz Stowarzyszenia Romanistów Polskich „Plejada”. Współpracuje również z Ambasadą Francji w Polsce. Należy do grupy Diachronic and Synchronic Comparative Studies of Neology, funkcjonującej w ramach europejskiej sieci badawczej ENEOLI– European Network on Lexical Innovation, działającej w programie COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). Doświadczenie naukowe zdobywała podczas staży badawczych na uniwersytetach Lyon II, Paris XIII, Paris X, Sorbonne (stypendium Rządu francuskiego) oraz Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3.
W kadencji 2024–2028 pełni funkcję koordynatora kierunków romanistyka (studia licencjackie) i filologia romańska (studia magisterskie) na Katolickim Uniwersytecie Lubelskim Jana Pawła II.

Dr Paulina Mazurkiewicz est maître de conférences au Département de Linguistique Romane de l’Université Catholique de Lublin Jean-Paul II.
Elle a obtenu un doctorat en linguistique en 2012. Ses recherches portent sur la lexicologie, la terminologie et les métaphores conceptuelles, en particulier dans les discours juridique, médical, journalistique et politique, avec un intérêt spécifique pour la rhétorique d’Emmanuel Macron. Elle est l’autrice d’une monographie consacrée à la terminologie de la famille et de nombreux articles sur le langage juridique en français et en polonais, ainsi que sur le discours médiatique lié à la pandémie de Covid-19.
Dr Mazurkiewicz est membre du groupe de recherche Modena Lexi-Term (Italie) et de l’Association Académique des Romanistes Polonais « Plejada ». Elle collabore également avec l’Ambassade de France en Pologne. Elle fait partie du groupe Diachronic and Synchronic Comparative Studies of Neology, actif dans le cadre du réseau européen ENEOLI – European Network on Lexical Innovation, mené dans le cadre du programme COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). Elle a effectué des séjours scientifiques à Lyon II, Paris XIII, Paris X, Sorbonne (boursière du Gouvernement français), ainsi qu’à l’Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3.
Pour la période 2024–2028, elle assure la coordination du programme de licence en études romanes et du programme de master en philologie romane à l’Université Catholique de Lublin Jean-Paul II.

Dr Paulina Mazurkiewicz is an assistant professor at the Department of Romance Linguistics at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
She obtained her PhD in linguistics in 2012. Her research focuses on lexicology, terminology, and conceptual metaphors, with particular attention to legal, medical, journalistic, and political discourse, including studies on Emmanuel Macron’s rhetoric. She is the author of a monograph on family terminology and has published numerous articles on French and Polish legal language as well as on media discourse related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr Mazurkiewicz is a member of the research group Modena Lexi-Term (Italy) and of the Polish Association of Romanists “Plejada.” She also collaborates with the French Embassy in Poland. She belongs to the group Diachronic and Synchronic Comparative Studies of Neology, which operates within the European research network ENEOLI – European Network on Lexical Innovation, conducted under the COST programme (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). Her academic experience includes research stays at Lyon II, Paris XIII, Paris X, Sorbonne (as a French Government scholarship holder), and Paul-Valéry University Montpellier 3.
For the 2024–2028 term, she serves as the coordinator of the undergraduate Romance Studies programme and the master’s programme in Romance Philology at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
