Anna Prażmowska is a research associate at the Department of Theoretical Linguistics at the Institute of Linguistics (Faculty of Humanities of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin). Her research interests include theoretical (generative) and contrastive linguistics, in particular the structure of natural languages and the syntax of English and Polish. In 2017, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the syntax of coordinate structures in English and Polish. She is also interested in non-literary translation and specialist languages. She is a co-organiser of Linguistics Beyond And Within – annual international linguistics conference in Lublin, and the editorial assistant for LingBaW – a peer-reviewed online journal, published by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
