Streszczenie: Article introduces into an ecumenical approach of the globalization developed within the World Council of Churches. This interpretation should be of central importance in the flood of the concepts and definitions of globalization. This is determined mainly by the highly representative nature of its standpoints, inherent to its very being and attributable to its global range. As the place of the meeting of various Christian cultures and denominations, it is a crucial player not only in the Church-theological life, but also in the social sphere. For representatives of various social disciplines, it constitutes a store of notions and ideas which reflect the way of thinking of other people, and also an important contribution in the search for solutions to the problems connected with the globalisation processes.
