Marcin Walczak

Marcin Walczak (born 1990) is a research and teaching assistant in the Department of Pneumatology, Ecclesiology, and Mariology at the Institute of Theological Sciences (Faculty of Theology, Catholic University of Lublin). He defended his master's thesis on the thought of Harvey Cox in 2014 at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. In 2017, also at the Catholic University of Lublin, he defended his doctoral dissertation, entitled "Toward the Unconditioned through the Conditioned. Mediation in the Theology of Paul Tillich." The supervisor of both theses was Rev. Kazimierz Pek, Ph.D., professor at the Catholic University of Lublin. Currently, Marcin Walczak teaches dogmatic theology on the basic course (Trinitology, Protology, Eschatology, Sacramentology) and lectures at the Licentiate Theological Studies. His research interests include primarily the theological significance of historical research on the person of Jesus and the origins of Christianity, but also contemporary issues at the intersection of theology and philosophy of religion (e.g. the discussion on God's action in the world).
