I lecture in the Celtic Department and teach courses in translation, conversation and in Irish language and culture. I have translated from both Russian and Polish into Irish, and I am the author of Translating in Times of Turmoil, on the Irish languages translations of Adam Mickiewicz by Liam Ó Rinn (KUL 2014). My latest work is Colour Terminology in Modern Irish (Brill 2023). I am also a qualified Irish-language translator, and my main areas of interest and research include Irish, Scottish Gaelic and Manx, their literatures, and related issues of translation.
