Streszczenie: The aim of the report is to present a short summary of the International Conference “Four elements in Polish and Italian language, literature and art” (Convegno Internazionale “I quattro elementi nella lingua, nella letteratura e nell’arte italiana e polacca”) organized in Sosnowiec between 6th-8th November 2014 by the Institute of Romance Languages and Translation Studies at the University of Silesia in Katowice and Società Dante Alighieri in Katowicach. The author of the report presents briefly goals, progress and results of the conference, together with the list of the participants. She hopes that this valuable initiative will continue in the future.
