Comparative analysis for mathematical models of a cantilever type structure

Streszczenie: The paper considers second-order nonlinear differential equation describing deformations of a cantilever structure under various loads. The corresponding mathematical model is studied using the analytical approximate method, as well as the calculation method implemented in the Mathematica system. Theoretical material is accompanied by numerical experiments. Cases of steel and wood structures are considered. Comparative analysis of the results of calculations carried out in software systems SCAD ++ and LIRA 10 along with the results of analytical approximate method and calculations by using Mathematica system is conducted, and the outcomes are presented.
